รถเข็นคนพิการแบบปรับยืนได้โดยไม่ใช้ไฟฟ้า ผ่านการออกแบบและพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องโดยศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านการออกแบบและพัฒนาต้นแบบทางวิศวกรรมอย่างสร้างสรรค์ แห่งมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ โดยรถเข็นปรับยืนที่ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นมีลักษณะพิเศษ กล่าวคือสามารถปรับยืนได้ด้วยกำลังแขนของผู้ใช้งาน หรือให้ผู้ดูแลช่วยยกขึ้นยืนในกรณีที่ไม่มีกำลังแขน ช่วยส่งเสริมสุขภาพให้กับผู้ที่ต้องใช้ชีวิตอยู่บนรถเข็นคนพิการ ปัจจุบันรถเข็นปรับยืนสามารถเผยแพร่สู่การใช้งานเชิงพานิชย์ โดยมี บริษัท Startup (บริษัท ซีเมดเมดิคอล จำกัด) เป็นผู้ดำเนินการ วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการวิจัยนี้คือ การทดลองนำนวัตกรรมที่ผ่านการวิจัยและพร้อมใช้งานแล้ว (TRL ? 7) ไปทดลองใช้งานจริงในหน่วยงานของรัฐ ในโครงการวิจัยนี้ สำนักงานการวิจัยแห่งชาติ ร่วมกับ กรมส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการ ได้นำรถเข็นปรับยืนจำนวน 24 คัน ไปใช้ในหน่วยงานสังกัดกรม 9 หน่วยงาน โดยมีผู้ป่วยหรือผู้พิการ จำนวน 17 ราย นอกจากนี้ ยังศึกษาในผู้ป่วยหรือผู้พิการที่อาศัยอยู่ที่บ้านพักอาศัยของตนเอง จำนวน 20 ราย ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการใช้งานรถเข็นปรับยืนในระยะยาวส่งผลให้ร่างกายมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในทิศทางที่ดี โดยเฉพาะในผู้ป่วยที่มีการบาดเจ็บของไขสันหลัง และมีประโยชน์ต่อการป้องกันภาวะแทรกซ้อนและใช้ร่วมกับการฟื้นฟูในผู้ป่วยสมองพิการที่ไม่สามารถช่วยเหลือตนเองได้ ทำให้คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยดีขึ้น นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่า ความพึงพอใจของผู้ป่วย ญาติหรือผู้ดูแลทั้งในการศึกษาระยะสั้นและระยะยาวมีความพึงพอใจในการใช้งานรถเข็นปรับยืนในระดับมากถึงมากที่สุด อย่างไรก็ตาม เนื่องจากปัญหาการระบาดของ COVIC-19 ทำให้ไม่สามารถทดสอบการใช้งานได้ตามแผนที่วางไว้ แต่ผลการศึกษาที่ได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงแนวโน้มที่ดีและประโยชน์ของรถเข็นปรับยืนที่เกิดขึ้นต่อผู้ป่วยและผู้พิการ <br><br>The manual standing wheelchair was designed and developed continuously by center of excellence in creative engineering design and development of Thammasat University. With special design features, it can be transferred to standing position with the user’s arm power or helping from caregiver. Standing with this device gives a better health for people who live on the wheelchair. At present, this manual standing wheelchair has been distributed commercially by Startup company, CMED Medical. The main objective of this project is to put the manual standing wheelchair into the trials in nine agencies of Department of Empowerment of persons with Disabilities. Twenty-four manual standing wheelchairs have been produced for this project. There are about 17 disable persons in these trials. Moreover, 20 more disable persons outside government agencies have been studied also. From the results of study, the long-term use of standing wheelchair results in positive changes in overall health of patients, especially in patients with spinal cord injury. Also standing with standing wheelchair can improve the quality of life in patients. The prevention and rehabilitation program were implemented and found positive result with patient with cerebral palsy. In addition, it was also found that patient and caregiver satisfaction in both the short-term and long-term studies had the highest level of satisfaction with the use of a standing wheelchair. Through, due to the outbreak of COVIC-19, it is not possible to do the trials as planned. The results show a positive trend towards the advantages and benefits of manual standing wheelchairs in people with disability and patients.
